Hello again, been a while since i've been on. I've been real busy with stuff at the house and on my car. but just checking in with you all. My aunts passing has kinda set up I will miss her very much, and her expertise will be missed, but i'm sure she will still see the work i continue to do, and be there with me every step of the way. On another note ive began to work on a few other ideas and projects. continuing to work on my violent consumer series, but soon i think i will be wrapping it up. so a few more rifles and ill be done. also looking into working with acrylic resin and that i hope will open up some new possibilities. As far as ceramics goes, i'm going to be president of the ceramic guild next semester, something i look forward too. so hope things will be on the Up and up.
          later guys!

Well again I haven't been as timely in writing as i could be, however here I am again. So it has truly been a busy few days, family has been out from both sides of my family, and i haven't gotten to do much of my own work with everyone being over. That is ok tho, as i will have plenty of time over this summer to do my work. My Aunt Terri whom struggled for years with her brain cancer passed this lat week. She was and is still one of my greatest inspirations as an artist. My family had been visiting her up until the end, and as sad as I am to see her go, It is somewhat of a relief to know that she is now in a better place and no longer suffering.
I have done some sketching again, and it is kind of a nice way to make some quick art and take my mind off things now and then. Today I took some family to visit the Cantor Art Center at Stanford, and i found myself inspired by many of the tribal and African art pieces they had on display. On a side note I also somehow acquired a spoon in my daily travels and made it into a ring for my girlfriend.

Hot Weather, the Fair, and Henna Tattoos

Hello again. been a day or two so i figured id write again. so today my whole family went to the Alameda County Fair. I was fun but the temperature was soo hot. we checked the temp at the car and it read 106 deg (Fahrenheit) now I'm not sure if that was just the temp at the car (it was parked in the grass tho) or if that was the actual temp, but man was it Hot. On the bright side, the food was great as usual, and the rides i did go on were fun. with the exception of a haunted house that was only scary because of the temperature in the ride ): Well we left there and went home cooled of for a bit and then My girlfriend and I ran to the Indian store down the street and got some Henna to do some body art. I'm not sure if i've made it clean, but i plan on getting a set of sleeves done in real ink, so I thought it might be fun to experiment and" try on" some sleeves temporarily.  I ended up doing a neat peacock on my girlfriends back, and then she tagged me back with a "tribal-esq" design up my side. I like it. So that was the day (: Also i should have some new experimental work out soon. Im using old video cameras and shooting 8mm film in black and white, and color and ill be splicing  footage together and projecting it up on random things or in random things. more on that soon!

In other news my aunt is still hanging in there like the champ she is. California has come to its senses regarding equality (something that should be a no brainer), and my car is back up and running and as fast as it used to be. (:
